Join us on July 14-17 as we head to the Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center in San Marcos, Texas, for our 103rd conference. Texas Pecan Growers Association and Pecan South have created a special promotional package that includes a variety of materials at a discounted price for Texas growers and industry members. Texas Pecan Growers Association has published a consumer special edition magazine to help spread the good word about pecans. These magazines are available in bulk for an at-print price for industry members to use in their businesses, consumer outreach, and more. On the line below, write how many magazines you would like. Printed copies of Pieces of Pecan will be hand-delivered at conference and come in bundles of 10. $5 per magazine, or $50 per bundle of 10.

As part of our conference, TPGA is hosting a Pecan Cookie and Bar Contest during the Grand Opening Reception on Sunday, July 10. All attendees are invited to participate. If you want to enter a recipe into the contest, please check the box and fill in the names of the recipe and baker on the lines below. The winner will be featured in the TPGA recipe brochure and Pecan South. Desserts must be in a disposable container and should be delivered to Registration by 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 30, before the Grand Opening Reception.

RAFFLE TO SUPPORT TEXAS EXTENSION & PECAN RESEARCH

All proceeds from the raffle will go to Texas pecan research and Extension. Some of the speakers at this conference will directly benefit from this raffle. The grand prize is a commemorative Henry .22 LR “American Farmer Tribute Edition,” engraved with the TPGA logo and donated by Rio Bravo Farms, Ltd. Ticket sales will be limited to 300 tickets for $25 each. Buy four tickets, get the fifth free. You do not need to be present to win. The drawing will take place at Grand Opening Reception on Sunday night.

FRED R. BRISON SCHOLARSHIP FUND

This mailing is the only time each year we mention the $1,000 Fred Brison scholarship presented annually by TPGA to a student in the Horticulture Department at Texas A&M University. If you are interested in contributing to our scholarship fund (or the TAMU Pecan Endowment), you may use this registration form to do so.

TEXAS A&M PECAN ENDOWMENT

These contributions go towards the effort to create a pecan endowment at Texas A&M University, which will support pecan research and the Texas A&M pecan program.

PECAN PAC

To have a successful advocacy program, the pecan industry must have a political action committee. The Pecan PAC can accept contributions from individuals, partnerships, or LLCs. Contributions are limited to $5,000 per year.

SILENT AUCTION

Funds generated from the silent auction go to Texas pecan Extension and research. Your contribution is for a good cause and can help promote your company or product. If you’d like to donate, please write a description of the item and give an estimated value. Items must be mailed to our office or delivered to the Registration at conference before Sunday night’s Grand Opening Reception.

Conference Cancellation and Refund Policy:

To receive a full refund for your conference registration, please inform TPGA of any cancellation by June 30th by the end of the day. After that date, no refund will be issued, but attendees are welcome to transfer registration to another person.
